The Thesis λ (lambda) is a preamplifier for the analogue-blooded fans. If you don't require the luxurious benefits of the α (alpha) preamplifier and have digital connectivity - or just want an exclusively analogue bias, the Thesis λ (lambda) is a partner you will want to live with. You can choose between five of your analogue sources and adjust the volume with an RC handset, but that is all you can get from the digital world by this clean-cut preamp. On the analogue side, however, it is the most refined preamplifier ever built by Heed.
The amplifier circuit of the Thesis λ (lambda) is the pure version of the Thesis α (alpha) analogue section. With the lack of digital circuitry, there is no reason to compromise anything. Aiming for the best possible sound quality, the Thesis λ (lambda) offers an unexceptional PCB design, unique to our Thesis line preamplifiers.
In a standalone mode, it is a very robust and capable device with its sturdy internal power supply. There is, however, an option to upgrade this remarkable performance to an even more astonishing level. The Thesis π (pi) power supply adds more clarity, more accuracy and a great bunch of smoothness to the presentation.
Like the Thesis α (alpha) preamplifier, the Thesis λ (lambda) is a preamplifier that has been lovingly assembled internally by the craftsman at Heed - it is also immaculate in conception in the flesh too. The casing is finished to the highest standard with the smoothest of black powder coated finishes and discrete wrapped sides. The extruded aluminium fascia fits onto the casing supremely and the source selection and volume controls are twinned to the fascia with a luxurious weighted feel. The front panel has black lit white indicators for an almost 'retro-futuristic' feel, akin to classics of the past and even an ornate art deco piece. The Thesis λ (lambda) also has remote control source and input selection and attentuation for volume control too.
The rear of the unit as outlined above has a plethora of analogue interconnectivity, all clearly defined and partitioned in black and white like the salient points of the most measured and well reasoned arguments. For dedicated analogue lovers the proposition to live in the music and become part of it has never been a simpler, clearer choice.
Available in a black casing with aluminium fascia (and controls).
